Ozum has been able to develop thanks to the support of local initiatives such as the Knowledge Exploitation Fund (KEF) and the Wales Spinout Programme.
The Knowledge Exploitation Fund (KEF)
During the early days of the business Ozum was able to benefit from the financial support of the Knowledge Exploitation Fund. KEF provides financial assistance to enable Higher and Further Education Institutions in Wales to create a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation, develop the skills of staff and students within their institutions, and facilitate the transfer of knowledge to industry.
Wales Spinout Programme
Ozum joined the Wales Spinout Programme in November 2006. The programme gives people the opportunity to start a business in Wales in conjunction with a Higher Education Institution (HEI) and receive special help with premises, finance, technical and business expertise.
The programme is aimed at giving practical help to budding entrepreneurs whether or not they are experienced in business. It offers the kind of extensive support that gives you every chance of launching your own successful business.
