BBI Healthcare is a leading manufacturer and distributor of innovative women's healthcare products based in South Wales.

We have been working with BBI to relaunch a new website featuring new branding, product imagery, and a modified symptom checker. In conjunction with the launch, we have been running a successful Google AdWords campaign promoting both the symptom checker and the product range. 

New Brand, New Website

Balance Activ, a product of BBI Healthcare, was being re-launched with new branding and new packaging and approached Ozum to assist with the creation and delivery of an Umbraco website that would reflect their new look.

Balance Activ is used to treat a condition that some women may feel embarrassed to discuss so their Symptom Checker is a big driver towards helping women determine if they have the condition and directing them to retailers that sell Balance Activ. We redesigned how this Symptom Checker worked and ensured that it was prominently signposted throughout the website.

BBI Healthcare invested in having photographs taken to be used throughout the website and removed the need to rely upon stock photographs which quite often are unsuitable and inconsistent with the product being marketed.

Symptom Checker

The comprehensive online symptom checker is a quick way for users to determine if they are suffering from an intimate health condition. Based on the answers to a range of questions, the tool will quickly determine if they are suffering from Bacterial Vaginosis or another condition such as Thrush.

This allows users who may be too embarrassed to discuss their symptoms with a pharmacist, to self-diagnose and know whether they can purchase a product or seeking advice from a GP.

Customizable Pages

Balance Activ was built with flexibility in mind. All aspects of the website are fully editable and a number of page types were built to allow a variety of content to be published.

For specific pages such as articles and stories, more structured templates were produced to allow editors to quickly input similar content without the need to worry about formatting. For other pages, Umbraco Grid was used to allow different types of content to be ordered in a variety of ways resulting in pages that would look visually different.

We worked with Ozum to build 3 new websites in a short space of time. The creativity, quality of thought and support from the team far surpassed our expectations. The process was fast and the content input and management is intuitive to use. The websites have really brought our business into the 21st century!

The new website has been well received by customers with tens of thousands using the symptom checker since launching. The brand is expanding it to other countries and we are continuing to work with BBI Healthcare to ensure smooth launches in these markets. This includes recreating the website, assitance with translations, cloud hosting in data centres close to users and ongoing support.
